Hello my name is Keith Bray; and I want to talk to you about Home Construction and some things that I hope will benefit you in the long run and not a lot of rehashing of the same information, but I'll try to cover some old and new. However the first topic I'll cover is of major concern in the construction feild and it wouldn't hurt at all for us to do some rehashing just to refresh if need be,and chew the cud so to speak.
Who is capable of giving good direction and advice to the layman; I have the answer to that! I can of course; I
've worked in the construction field for over 40 years and I know a little about the subject. As also, I would imagine, you do too. You know what I'm talking about, especially if you have done any work in any feild of construction.
I began this subject in my wordpress.com blog but it ws never published for numerous reasons I don't care to enumerate at this point, but I'm looking forward to working with you all and hopefully to impart to you some things as I recall certain facts, processes and with some illustrations that will be helpful. So concerning my topics, I'd like to start from the ground and work my way up to the point when it's time to move in.
FIRST LAYING SOME GROUND WORK BEFORE CONSTRUCTION STARTS.
I will always; and forever stress one major point, and that point is the big safety word. SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETYand MORE SAFETY! Safety this and safety that; safety, safety, safety.
It can't be stressed enough, as a matter of a proven fact. This cannot be over stressed and will benefit you immeasureably in the long run, especially when you are the owner of the work site or the supervisor or managing a job site where normally several crafts working altogether with equipment operators, 10 or more workers all in the same area. You would not want any mishaps.
Although the potential for something to go wrong always exist. You have the obligation to yourself and your employees to become proactive, and to take proper steps to minimize potential safety hazards and threats as much as possible. Most accidents happen because of a lack of safety training, which will prevent most unknowns from happening. If you and your workers are properly trained to recognized existing and nonexisting hazardous conditions before they occur, steps can be taken to put in place certain preventitive measures, such as; devices or personal protective equipment for example, to nullify or minumize potential hazardous conditions or threats.
TAKING PROPER STEPS TO BE SAFE
I suppose my first topic, I'll start with safety since you should be well grounded and absorbed in this construction workers topic, it would behoove anyone doing any work on a site where multiple dangers exist, and every one concerned should be actively involved, first of all for their own wellfare as well as there fellow empolyees.
On some smaller sites and all the large ones, a safety inspector is prone to show up at any time to inspect a job. Here first impressions go along way and depending on how many infractions he may find, he is liable to slap a work stoppage on your site and hit you with fines for noncompliance that are really costly. This is also in the scope of construction topics.
To start I will cover general construction topics and then go back and build on those topics with more specific detail.
BASIC SAFETY CONSTRUCTION TOPIC

Beginning at the Research phase: The site design and site planning process begin with the initial problem to be solved, here the planner works with a particular site, his work will involve things such as; site search and site feasibility study, preliminary design, site visit, building permits, factored estimate, design, intrim financing and some estimates then organizing and controling construction cost.
d to existing major roads or landmarks, this will help in the assessment, There should be documentation of distances from major places. You can do this by either walking or driving the distance yourself.
